Restoration of the Jewish heritage

As part of the Jewish congregation, we value our Jewish heritage in Ukraine and beyond and care about its restoration and preservation.

The First Jewish Messianic Synagogue

The Chernivtsi congregation built the first Jewish Messianic synagogue in Ukraine - a house of prayer and a place for gatherings. In the first months of the war, the premises of the synagogue also served as a shelter for several dozen refugees. Currently, the second Messianic synagogue is currently being built in Shepetivka.

Jewish Messianic Center in Kyiv

Recently, the Kyiv Jewish Messianic Congregation has purchased a building for the Jewish Messianic Center in Kyiv. We believe that this will be a significant contribution to the revival of Jewish culture.

At the Jewish Center we plant to:

  • hold events to support the Armed Forces and war victims

  • have a place for prayer and intercession for the peace in Ukraine and Israel 24/7

  • have projects to build and strengthen Ukrainian-Jewish international relations

  • projects for socialization and spiritual rehabilitation after war injuries

  • anti-Semitism work

  • various areas of study in the best Jewish traditions

  • youth events

  • official receptions

  • Jewish museum, Aaron Kodesh, and library

  • Ashkenazi-Israeli cafe and more

Some of our communities participate in the cleaning of abandoned Jewish cemeteries in various cities and villages. In particular, the congregation in Kamianets-Podilskyi cleaned the abandoned Jewish cemetery all summer in the summer of 2024. In 2013, together with representatives of other churches, they participated in the installation of a monument to the executed Jews in Radomysl.
